Perfection is a Daily Process

Standing next to a tree can sometimes make you forget you are in the forest. Becoming familiar with your surroundings can make you take things for granted. Just because everything appears to be where it was does not mean that it should be where it is. The children of Israel often would become comfortable with themselves after God would deliver them from various oppressors. We must not be complacent in the magnificence of what God has done or is doing in our lives. Every circumstance that He guides us through should be responded to with a shout of appreciation and not a shrug of smug expectation. We would be wise to remember that our perfection is a daily process, not an already done deal.
